DETAILS
Charming 18th century ink and gouache botanical studies of Damask Rose and Auricula specimens. Finely crafted on early Dutch laid paper, watermarked for D & C Blauw, each inscribed on the bottom left. The paper is wafer thin and with a mesh pattern indicating pre 1800 manufacture. Mounted in simple oak frames and reamy cylinder glass with hanging loops.
